Welcome to The Social Worker Canada Program

At Carib Student, we are passionate about providing high-quality regulatory assistance for professional social workers. This program is specifically designed to support Caribbean social workers who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, have completed a practicum, and have active field experience. Candidates who meet these requirements will have the opportunity to apply for their professional Social Work License in Canada. The program timeline spans six to nine months. 

The Social Worker program will bring Caribbean Professionals through a series of regulatory steps in order to acquire a Social Worker license. Here is following overview:

• Credential Assessment: Social Worker who holds a bachelor's degree or master's degree will be assessed to meet Canadian Standards. 
• Character Reference: Social Workers will be required to provide two-character reference. 
  • The person cannot be a family member or partner
  • The person does not have to be a social worker 
• Current Criminal Record: A criminal record check is valid for three months from the date it was issued.
• Regulatory Body Assessment: Carib Student only provides regulator assessment in Alberta. 

Program Financial Obligation: Social Workers interested in obtaining the provincial license must understand the financial obligation of the program, here is a list of fees to expect throughout the program but not limited to:

• Program Fee: $1,200USD (Stage 1: $600USD & Stage 2: $600USD)
• Credential Assessment: $395.5CAD
• Social Worker License: $600CAD

Be prepared for additional expenses such as: Police Record, Post Secondary Transcripts Request Fees and etc.
